3.19

March 19th is a very special day for me. It's the day that a very special person was given to this world. This person.

Little did anyone know that this little person would drastically change the life of a person not so far away. This is not just a person. This is the person that loves me. By choice.

This little person is my friend. My number one ally. This person would do anything for me without the thought of getting anything in return.

Who knew that this chocolate covered little boy would grow into such a wonderful man. So kind. So giving. Such a spirit full of light and love.

My skater boy. I met this person not too long after this pic was taken. We were 17. Although Avril Lavigne, tried to convince me with her song- I could never quite say "See you later boy" to this person.

Even during the college years of popped colors and hair wax- he had my heart.

It's been almost 6 years since we were married. I can't believe I love this person 100 times more now than I did on our wedding day. How is it possible?

I'm beyond lucky to have a "live-in" support and encouragement- it really is my secret weapon. The man in these pictures lifts me up. I am constantly inspired by his passion and his kind soul.

I was never loved the way you love me, it feels like a warm blanket. I never knew how to love another until I loved you. As our love grows, it helps me grow. You came to Earth to love and teach me.
Thank you.

An ultrasound picture of Dave. This is very rare for people our age. I'm so happy to have it.

Who is the person that inspires you? Who is your teacher (not in the traditional sense)?, Who do you love? Do you grow from loving another?

Love abounds, just look around.

Meg

PS- Here is a poem I wrote for you. I have NEVER shared my poems or private writing with anyone. This is a special celebration, so I am putting myself out there. It's a little terrifying. But it is for my love. This is a poem written about our life together.

A POEM: "3.19"
3.19, A special day.
You joined us here on Earth.
You.
You came.
You knew I was waiting.
You grew.
I grew.
We met.
We had fun. We had love.
We had something indescribable.
An instant connection.
Us.
University.
We fought.
We laughed.
Marriage.
Pennsylvania to Asia.
You grew.
I grew.
We grow.
Life grows.... sweeter.
My friend.
My husband.
My support.
You.
Me.
We.

PSS- I owe your parents a debt of gratitude. They created you and they were responsible for the man you became. Thank you so much B & E! I am so lucky.

    1. Hahahaha, Jill! Meghan and Ashley thought the SAME thing!!!! I would be a terrible friend announcing it on a blog first!
The idea of making babies is becoming less frightening/inconvenient every day.... who knows what will happen. ;)
